You are welcome to use the format we used at our meeting or choose points from it, or to come up with your own prayer points.  The main emphasis is to pray for revival.  Below is the format we followed.

PRAYER THROUGH REPENTANCE

Psalm 139:23, 24    “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

1. Search my heart O God.Show me any offensive way I have inside me.(remain quiet for a minute or two).If God shows you something, pray for forgiveness.

2. Forgive us for putting what other people or our culture thinks about us as a higher priority than what You think of us.

3. Forgive us Lord, we as a people have often searched for solutions to our problems everywhere except at your feet.Teach us to return to You.

4. Romans 8:1 says “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.”  Forgive us Lord when we won’t let go of condemnation that you already forgave.  Our thoughts and feelings do not surpass what You have said and already done on the cross.  Help me to believe this truth.

 

PUT ON THE ARMOR OF GOD     We are in a spiritual battle.      Ephesians 6:10-18  10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

1. Pray that Holy Spirit will remind you DAILY to put on your armor.  This is serious.

2. Pray for protection from the Evil One just as Jesus prayed for His disciples.  John 17:15  “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.”

3. Pray that God would remind you of 1 John 4:4 when you face spiritual attacks.4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

 

PRAYER THROUGH SCRIPTURE              LET’S PRAY AGAINST PERVERSION:

Romans 1:21-30  (NLT translation)

Father, we pray that we, the people of Fayetteville & Ft. Bragg, will know you and glorify you as the mighty God and be thankful.  We declare that we, the people of Fayetteville & Ft. Bragg, will not become vain in our imagination, and our hearts will be wise and not darkened, because of your mercy.  We will not profess ourselves to be wise and we will not become fools.  We will not change your incorruptible glory with any idolatry.  Remove any idolatry from our hearts oh God.  We plead with you Father, do not give Fayetteville & Ft. Bragg up to uncleanness.

We repent on behalf of our city.  Remove lust out of our hearts and the people of this city.  In your mercy, bring us to repentance and bring your conviction to Fayetteville & Ft. Bragg so we will not dishonor our bodies between ourselves.  Let your truth O God be not changed into a lie, and may we the people of Fayetteville & Ft. Bragg worship and serve you and not the creation.  In your mercy Father, as we repent, do not give this city up unto vile affections because of our sins, so that we the women of Fayetteville & Ft. Bragg will not change the natural use of our bodies into that which is against nature.  And our men will not leave the natural use of the woman.  We declare that they will not burn in their lust one toward another.  As we repent and you remove perversion from our midst, men will not do with men that which is unseemly, so that they (and us as a consequence) will not have to receive in themselves the recompense of their error.  We pray that, we the people of Fayetteville & Ft. Bragg, will retain You in our knowledge so that You Father God will not have to give us over to a reprobate mind.

We plead with you Father, give us, the people of Fayetteville & Ft. Bragg, the mind of Christ so we will do those things that ought to be done and not those things that shouldn’t be done.  Father as we repent, transform us and fill us, the people of Fayetteville & Ft. Bragg, with righteousness, purity, goodness, generosity, unselfishness, trust, love, kindness, integrity, benevolence, honesty, and make us the lovers of God, thankful, humble, modest, inventors of good things, obedient to parents, full of understanding, covenant keepers, with natural affection, flexible, merciful. 

Father, we ask You to be a wall of fire around Fayetteville & Ft. Bragg and to be the glory within her!  Zacharaiah 2:5

Circumcise the hearts of the People of Fayetteville & Ft. Bragg Father!  Deuteronomy 30:6

And we thank you Father that as we storm the gates of hell today to reclaim Fayetteville  & Ft. Bragg for you, that the GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST US THE CHURCH OF JESUS (Matthew 16:19) and we declare that we are taking back Fayetteville & Ft. Bragg.  We command the enemy of Jesus to let go of every establishment, every home, every person in this city, because we are your voice today and are declaring to your enemy and our enemy:  LET THE PEOPLE OF FAYETTEVILLE AND FORT BRAGG GO!  In the name of Jesus, amen!

Father, since we have prayed repentance over our city, we now cover it with the blood of Jesus, because You promised in your word that when You see the blood, You will pass over the plagues, caused by sin, which will not be upon us to destroy us or our children.  In the name of Jesus, amen!!!   

Jeremiah 26:19 ….and the Lord changed his mind about the misfortune which he had pronounced against them!

PRAYER FOR HOLY SPIRIT FIRE          Fuego!  Fuego! Fuego!

1. In Jesus Name we release and send Holy Spirit Fire to purge and burn out Perversion in Faytteville & Ft. Bragg!

2. In Jesus Name we release and send Holy Spirit Fire to purge every branch of Perversion in Fayetteville & Ft. Bragg!

3. In Jesus Name we release and send Holy Spirit Fire upon every plan of Satan in Fayetteville & Ft. Bragg!

4. In Jesus Name we release and send Holy Spirit Fire upon every Enchantment of Darkness in Fayetteville & Ft. Bragg!

5. In Jesus Name we release and send Holy Spirit Fire upon every Satanic oppression in Fayetteville & Ft. Bragg!

6. In Jesus Name we release and send Holy Spirit Fire upon Witchcraft in Fayetteville & Ft. Bragg!

7. In Jesus Name we release and send Holy Spirit Fire to Demoniac Strongmen in Fayetteville & Ft. Bragg!

PRAYER CONCERNING THE PERVERSION OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING -  taken from YWAM  https://ywam.org/news/pray-against-human-trafficking/  

1. Pray for survivors of trafficking.
   Pray that those caught up in trafficking would be freed from the chains that bind them and that they would encounter God’s love. Pray that they would heal, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. Pray for fair and honest employers to offer them jobs and training. Pray that they would find hope for their futures and strength and grace to forgive.

2. Pray for traffickers.
   Pray that traffickers and pimps would have a profound, life-changing Damascus-road type of encounter with God (Acts 22:6-10). Pray they would repent and leave the sex trade and would use their knowledge of the industry to fight for freedom of people caught in slavery (John 8:32).

3. Pray for those battling against trafficking.
   Pray Galatians 6:9: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”Pray for supernatural protection from evil. Pray for courage, wisdom from God, and a passionate heart for God and people. Pray that they would see the fruit of their labor.

 

1. Pray for the Church and society.
   Pray against the use of pornography. According to the organization Rescue:Freedom, in nine countries 49 percent of sexually exploited women said that pornography was made of them while they were being sold for sex. If Christians at large would stop using porn, it would have a significant impact on both the pornography and trafficking industries. Consider the following statistics: 57 percent of pastors say porn addiction is the most damaging issue in their congregation (a Barna survey, 2016); 76 percent of 18 to 24-year-old Christians actively seek out porn (Barna, 2016); 68 percent of church-going men and over 50 percent of pastors view porn on a regular basis (Pure Desire Ministries); and only seven percent of pastors say their church has a program to help people struggling with pornography (Barna, 2016). Pray for anti-porn programs to be set up. Pray for a re-dedication to biblical marriages. Pray Leviticus 20:26: “You are to be holy to me, because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own.” Also pray for a commitment to “remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners” (Hebrews 13:3).

Suggestions for Group Prayer:

Divide the group into four subgroups, one for each of the categories mentioned in the prayer points: survivors, traffickers, those battling against trafficking, and the church and society. For a moment, put yourselves into the shoes of the people you represent. Note what might motivate them and the challenges they face. Note what God is saying to you about who you represent. Pray as you are led, using the prayer points from above and what you hear from God.

            We encourage everyone to Fast some time during this month.  If you would like to join us on the same day, the leadership team will be fasting on May 17.  If that is not a good day for you, please choose another.  To reach Fayetteville and Ft. Bragg, we need both Prayer and Fasting, it is a true spiritual battle ahead.
